About The Position

As a member of the C&S Wholesale Grocers family of companies, SpartanNash is a food solutions company that distributes grocery and household goods through a global supply chain network. The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a forklift to move, load, unload, relocate, and stack merchandise. Duties include pulling and staging orders for delivery, unloading inbound shipments, loading outbound shipments, and moving products to dispersing trailers. The operator is also responsible for keeping facility equipment neat, clean, and orderly.

This role works under close supervision, follows clearly defined standard operating procedures, takes direction, uses basic technical skills, and communicates with team members. The position is based at 2330 Roosevelt Ave, San Antonio, Texas 78210, pays $20.50 per hour, and has a schedule of 7 p.m. to finish. Work may be assigned for 8–10-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, day or night hours, and overtime as necessary. Travel requirements vary by assignment.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Basic technical skills and ability to take direction.
• Ability to communicate with team members.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, day and night hours, and overtime as necessary and as assigned.
• Ability to work assigned shifts of 8–10 hours.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed.
• Certification may be preferred.
