About The Position

Requirements

• Speak, read and write English and have math skills all at 8th grade level and / or related work experience.
• Must have good hand to eye coordination.
• Must be able to sit and drive forklift for long periods.
• Must have the ability to work well with others in a team environment, and to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Must be willing and able to obtain forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Operates forklift to unload incoming vehicles as needed.
• Counts, verifies and scans all incoming product at delivery time.
• Scans items in and out of assigned locations.
• Examines incoming shipments; reports damages and shortages to immediate supervisor.
• Keeps forklift in good, safe operating condition by daily check off of inspection report; reports any maintenance needs to maintenance.
• Tags all sheet stock being returned to board storage area; returns pallets to their designated area; stocked at appropriate height and straight.
• Observes and conforms to all company rules and regulations as outlined in the “employee handbook.”
• Initiate action to prevent problems, document quality problems, contribute solutions to problems, verify implementation of solutions and control further processing when a problem is identified.
• Respect and conform to all accepted safe work practices and standards.
• Attend on going in-house quality education classes.
