About The Position

LiDestri Foods is seeking a Forklift Operator to ensure rail cars are safely directed to the proper receiving bay. This role involves guiding rail cars, unloading and loading inventory, utilizing RF scanner guns, and moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting inventory. The position requires adherence to GMP protocols and reporting of food safety and quality issues. The role operates on a 12-hour day schedule with a 2-2-3 rotation of days off.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety glasses and leather skid resistant work shoes/boots)
• Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills and math functions
• Ability to use basic hand tools (RF scanner guns)
• Previous experience operating forklift in a fast paced environment

Responsibilities

• Guide rail cars into receiving bay
• Unload and load inventory
• Utilize RF scanner guns
• Move, locate, relocate, stack and count inventory
• Follow GMP protocols
• Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
