About The Position

This position operates a forklift in the palletizing area for fully cooked lines 1, 2, and 3. The operator picks up finished product pallets, ensures the Manifestor configures each pallet in the EIM system, places a header card on the pallet, and wraps it using a stretch-wrapping machine. Wrapped pallets are transported to the freezer or shipping dock. Work is performed inside the facility, where conditions include noise, wet floors, cool temperatures of 50 degrees or below, moving objects, mechanical and electrical hazards, and sanitizing solutions in water and sanitizers. Days per week and hours per day will vary. The role is listed as second shift and pays $17.90 per hour. The successful candidate must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

Hold a forklift operator license and be a certified forklift operator.
Have at least 3 months of food industry production experience within the last 2 years; experience may be combined across employers.
Be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Former Tyson Foods team members must have a 180-day (6-month) waiting period; no more than two previous Tyson employments will be considered for hire.

Responsibilities

Operate a forklift in the palletizing area for fully cooked lines 1, 2, and 3.
Pick up finished pallets of product from the palletizing area and transport them to the freezer or shipping dock.
Ensure the Manifestor configures the pallet in the EIM system.
Place a header card on each pallet.
Place the pallet on the stretch-wrapping machine deck and press the start button to wrap it.
Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.
