About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring all products and materials are loaded, unloaded, and processed through the warehouse in a timely and accurate manner using a motor-powered forklift. Team members will be fully re-trained and certified on forklift during orientation. Most of the time will be driving PIT including stand-up forklifts and reach trucks for extended times in damp and cold environments with temperatures ranging from -5 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit. (Up to 12 hours)

Requirements

  • 6 months forklift experience listed within the last 12 months.
  • At least 12 months of warehousing experience within the last 18 months.
  • Full range of motion of arms, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, all digits, and legs.
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time with a sense of balance.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing.
  • Ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels.
  • Must pass post offer health assessment and drug screening.
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Cold storage experience preferred.
  • Composite toe boots preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all products and materials are loaded, unloaded, and processed through the warehouse in a timely and accurate manner using a motor-powered forklift.
  • Move around the work area at a fast pace and willing to bend, squat, lift, push, pull, up to (40) pounds.
  • Follow all Tyson Policies and Safety Guidelines.
  • Use a handheld scanner to track products as it is moved around the facility.
  • Receiver – Receives product accurately into the building using PIT.
  • Put Away – Pulls product that has been received and puts it into the racking. May be required to palletize or split pallets.
  • Replenisher – Pulls pallets from racking to replenish pick faces.
  • Picker – (Case picker/Order Selector and full pallet picker) pulls product either in single or full palletized form to fill and build customer orders.
  • Loader – Loads trucks with product in an efficient manner that will avoid product damage or loss.
