About The Position
Forklift Operators move stock within a warehouse and load and unload shipments of various sizes. They may operate stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks. The work environment is team-oriented, fast-paced, and safety-focused.
Requirements
- Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment.
- Six months of forklift operation experience.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six months of warehouse experience.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using forklifts or other power equipment for 80% of the specified shift.
- Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring the exact number and types of products are loaded.
- Keep appropriate records and reports to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
- Verify load accuracy by checking the count, stability, and condition of products, and report variances as necessary.
- Change equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitor power sources as necessary.
- Keep facility equipment and materials neat, clean, and orderly.
- Assist with physical inventories.
- Complete daily equipment inspections.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
