About The Position
The Forklift Operator supports the shipping division by operating a forklift to load, unload, move, stack, stage, and count products and materials. The position helps maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area and documents required information in accordance with standard operating procedures. The schedule is Monday through Friday, first shift, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with the ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. The listed rate is $20–$22 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or recognized international equivalent.
- Forklift experience required.
- Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily.
- Ability to reach, bend, extend, and lift 50–60 pounds.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload products safely and efficiently.
- Accurately load all palletized orders.
- Receive incoming products and stock them in designated areas.
- Clean debris and hose down the area immediately after spills.
- Notify the shift supervisor immediately about breakdowns or mixed products.
- Set aside mistake products for inventory and restocking.
- Maintain appropriate records and reports to ensure accurate inventory counts.
- Lift and stack boxes of product in the cooler.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
