This position is eligible for a $750 sign-on bonus, paid in two installments after 180 days of employment. The 2nd Shift also offers a 10% shift premium.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Must pass fork truck certification at NASG
Basic computer skills
Demonstrated basic math skills
Must possess a valid driver’s license
2 Years forklift experience preferably in manufacturing
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated experience in safe material handling practices
Ability to work with a dynamic and demanding team.
Accurate, efficient, & proactive in daily duties.
Ability to conduct basic maintenance or mechanical activities as required.
Ability to work at a fast pace.
Accountable - teachable - approachable
Ability to learn, make decisions, and be creative & flexible.
Ability to problem solve.
Capable of lifting 50 pounds.
Ability to stand up for a minimum of 8 hours.
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language (English).

Responsibilities

Ensure safe and efficient movement of product throughout the entire system.
Work in weld, press, and warehouse areas, ensuring timely product/dunnage movement.
Demonstrate a Continuous Improvement attitude and willingness to adopt new ideas/skills using TQPS principles.
Report all quality, production, or safety problems to the team or group leader.
Move non-conforming material to the MRB area.
Ensure quality parts are shipped according to customer requirements.
Verify customer order matches actual parts being moved to the next operation/location.
Stage dies as needed for changeovers and take them to the tool room after use (if applicable).
Move material from storage to the next designated work area.
Remove and place dies in the press during changeovers (if applicable).
Assist in completing monthly and yearly physical inventories.
Unload inbound trailers with empty dunnage and put away in designated locations (if applicable).
Ensure all parts and containers (full or empty) are staged and scanned properly.
Remove labels from all containers.
Complete daily tow motor checklist.
Perform and maintain 5-S standards in the area of responsibility.
Suggest methods of improvement.
Be available for overtime as required.
