About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The role involves operating powered pallet jacks, forklifts, and reach trucks, inspecting equipment, and managing inventory in various storage areas including a subzero freezer, cooler, and dry goods area. The operator will also move finished goods, unload trucks, cover and stretch-wrap pallets, supply production lines with materials, and record transactions in the SAP system. Maintaining an organized and clean work environment according to 5S principles, GMPs, and USDA regulations is also a key part of the role.

Requirements

Must be willing and able to operate in a safe manner, and in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
Must have LESS than 7 attendance points.
Must have NO disciplinary actions in the past 12 months.
Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.

Responsibilities

Operate powered pallet jack, forklift and/or reach truck.
Inspect equipment daily, charge batteries, maintain battery water level, and change batteries as necessary.
Move inventory in an organized manner to store in a subzero freezer, cooler, and a dry goods area.
Move finished goods and work-in-progress from production lines to the shipping area.
Unload trucks.
Cover and stretch-wrap pallets.
Ensure assigned production lines are continuously supplied with clean raw materials and packaging.
Record movement transactions in the SAP system.
Ensure all raw materials and finished goods are labeled correctly.
Maintain an organized and clean work environment according to 5S principles, GMP’s, and USDA regulations.
Use handheld computer to pick and scan product to outbound loads.
Communicate effectively with other team members and assist in coordinating to accomplish all assigned tasks.
