About The Position
Great Southern Wood Preserving, Incorporated is seeking forklift operators for its distribution center. The company is known for its flagship product, YellaWood® brand pressure treated pine, and has a wide distribution network. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and a full benefits package. The role involves operating a forklift to move, stack, and transport materials within the distribution center, as well as managing inventory and supplying materials to other workers.
Requirements
- Previous forklift experience
- High School diploma or GED preferred
Nice To Haves
- Lumber experience is a plus!
Responsibilities
- Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus
- Positions forks, lifting platforms, or other lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transport load to designated area
- Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering the lifting device
- Inventories materials on the work floor and supplies workers with materials as needed
- Keeps record of inventory
