Forklift Operator - 2nd Shift - Kansas City, KS
About The Position
This position will ensure the safe, efficient, and accurate movement of goods and materials into and throughout the plant by utilizing the material management systems in the KCK facility. Tyson Foods is hiring immediately for Forklift Operators. Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of forklift experience
- Minimum of 6 months of continuous work in the last 3 years.
- Must be willing and able to bend, twist, and stand for long periods of time.
- Must be willing and able to lift, push, or carry up to 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment and requires repetitive motions.
- Must be willing and able to stand, bend, reach overhead, and twist for long periods of time.
- Must be willing and able to stand 8-12 hours a day on hard floor.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to a continuous improvement environment by participating in activities to include line side problems solving.
- Contribute to a safe and organized work environment by maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.
- Scan inventory movement into Vehicle Mounted Units and interpret data output pull systems integrity.
- Operate powered trucks following safety guidelines.
- Must be willing and able to work currently available shift(s), overtime, and weekends if required.
- Ability to perform basic math skills.
- Ability to draw conclusions based on analysis of data from multiple sources.
