About The Position

This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of products through the production process and ensuring that proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line. It is also responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying the supervisor if machines require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson's policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must be willing and able to be exposed to a cold/damp work environment with temperatures ranging from 28-42 degrees.
  • Must be willing and able to lift, push, or carry up to 55 pounds frequently.
  • Must be willing and able to work in a faced-paced environment which requires repetitive motions.
  • Must be willing and able to stand, bend, reach overhead, and twist for long periods of time.
  • Must be willing and able to stand 8-12 hours a day on hard floor.
  • Must be licensed to operate forklift.
  • Must have excellent attendance.
  • Must have the ability to learn SAP, MES and EIM systems.
  • Must be able to read and write to maintain accurate inventory, complete reporting, and ensure the correct ingredients are used for each spice kit to complete process orders.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively to all levels of management.
  • Ability to operate scale.
  • Must have the ability to keep track of inventory and perform mathematical calculations.
  • Must be detailed oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Combine various raw ingredients to formulate spice kits to produce logs for Raw manufacturing operations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all ingredients used for spice kits and all inventory in the room.
  • Pick all ingredients needed for each spice kit to complete process orders and place on pallet for each handling unit.
  • Report ingredient needs to procurement.
  • Move ingredients to appropriate pallets.
  • Contribute to a continuous improvement environment by participating in activities to include line side problem solving.
  • Contribute to a safe and organized work environment by maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.
  • Operate forklift and both identify and act upon system-based error messages.
  • Must be able to read and write to maintain accurate inventory, complete reporting, and ensure the correct ingredients are used for each spice kit to complete process orders.
