About The Position

Thompson Pipe Group is currently looking for a Forklift Operator for the 2nd shift, with hours from 5pm to 5am. This role involves operating heavy equipment, managing bulk materials for production, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment. The position requires adherence to safety policies, completion of paperwork, and the ability to operate various types of industrial machinery.

Requirements

Ability to drive manual transmission.
Safety operations course by EHS TPG.
5 - 10 years industrial heavy equipment operator experience.
OSHA-10 certification.
Operator Certification.
Rigging Certification.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies.
Provide recommendations for maintaining and improving environmental standards.
Load and unload equipment from vehicles.
Ensure company equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner.
Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuel equipment.
Complete required paperwork and reporting.
Operate: Road grader, water truck, dump truck, backhoe, flatbed, excavator, forklift where needed.
Manage and handle bulk material for production needs.
Calculate the amount of material needed at all sand/rock bins to accurately order the correct amount of material.
Ability to operate a locomotive switch engine.
