About The Position

Forklift Operators / Slip Sheet Operators load, unload, sort, stage, and transport products into and out of a warehouse. They work cooperatively with other associates and productively with little supervision, while following company safety policies and procedures. The role is on the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The warehouse may not be temperature controlled, so indoor temperatures can fluctuate by season.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have at least 1 year of forklift operating experience.
• Be able to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically exerting warehouse tasks.
• Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation.
• Be able to work overtime and adjust the schedule as needed.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with RF equipment.
• Warehouse experience in a high-volume environment; food-grade or refrigerated warehouse experience is helpful.
• Familiarity with and ability to use order management systems such as WMS.
• Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently in accordance with company or site-specific safety policies and procedures.
• Load and unload trailers, railcars, and transports to designated areas.
• Check inbound and outbound products to confirm items and quantities are correct and that there is no damage.
• Use handheld scanners and other equipment to comply with the warehouse management system.
• Perform daily equipment maintenance inspections.
• Work cooperatively with other warehouse associates.
• Help keep the facility clean, neat, and orderly.
• Perform additional duties assigned by a supervisor.
