About The Position

I Am Boundless, a nonprofit organization serving Ohio for over 40 years, provides support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). The Day Support Professional provides direct services to adults with I/DD and behavioral health challenges, including Day and Vocational Habilitation and Non-Medical Transportation Services. The role helps maintain a safe, well-structured environment while following a person-centered and community-integrated philosophy. Programs are based in the community and/or at a center and include outings with the people supported. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Candidates selected for the pre-employment process must complete a background check, drug screen, and health screen, as applicable to the role.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record.
Ability to function independently and demonstrate flexibility and personal integrity.
Ability to work effectively with consumers and other staff.
Ability to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.

Responsibilities

Provide direct services, including Day and Vocational Habilitation, to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and behavioral health challenges.
Provide Non-Medical Transportation Services.
