Graywolf Integrated Construction is seeking a Forklift Operator assigned to Iva, South Carolina. The Forklift Operator operates a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in a fast-paced environment. The role also includes loading and unloading trucks, containers, and trailers; inspecting and checking forklift maintenance; keeping the work area clean and safe; and assisting with other warehouse duties. The operator must work safely around construction-field hazards, use tools safely, and lift, carry, and hold building materials and supplies. The position involves physically demanding work in varied outdoor and site conditions, including lifting items weighing up to 45 pounds, navigating confined, cluttered, and uneven spaces, and working shifts of up to 12 hours in temperature extremes. Duties may require climbing and balancing on steel framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds, as well as working at heights with fall protection and using manlifts, baskets, and JLGs. Required PPE includes safety footwear and prescription safety glasses or eye shields. Per diem eligibility requires a documented permanent residence at least 60 miles from the site address.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Forklift operator certification.
- At least 1 year of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment.
- Successfully complete all required pre-hire requirements.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 45 pounds.
- Ability to move in and around confined, cluttered, and uneven areas.
- Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperature extremes and other outdoor conditions.
- Ability to climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
- Ability to work at heights with fall protection and from manlifts, baskets, and JLGs.
- Safety footwear and prescription safety glasses or eye shields are required.
