About The Position
The Forklift Operator supports inbound-to-manufacturing logistics by loading, unloading, and staging products and materials, and by moving materials with material-handling equipment. The role also assists with workload coverage, customer shipments, inventory support, audits, and incident investigations. The position is based in Columbus, Mississippi, and is scheduled for second shift, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, with overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Six months of forklift experience.
- Ability to pass the forklift training certification process.
- Ability to read, listen, understand, and follow directions and work instructions.
- Ability to count accurately.
- Ability to operate various types of material-handling equipment, including tuggers, forklifts, and reach trucks.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and stage products and materials.
- Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them in assigned places.
- Assist with extra workload and cover absences.
- Ensure proper materials are sent to customers.
- Provide inventory assistance and conduct layered audits.
- Participate in incident investigations and reporting.
