About The Position

Triton Metal Products, a leader in the metal fabrication industry, is seeking a detail-driven, consistent, reliable, and quality-focused individual to join their team as a Forklift Operator. This role is crucial for maintaining a steady and timely material flow to support the production team and ensure operational efficiency. The position involves operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, as well as staging materials for machine operators and preparing them for shipment.

Requirements

• Able to manage tasks without micromanagement
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced operations environment
• Ability to lift 60 lbs. and operate pallet jacks
• Strong attention to detail and thorough with double-checking operators’ parts
• Must be adaptable and with a positive attitude to help other team members
• Must be willing and able to perform any job assignment as production levels shift and job priorities change

Nice To Haves

• Forklift experience
• Knowledge of raw materials such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
• Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems
• Experience as a material handler or warehouse worker (manufactured environment preferred)
• Basic understanding of inventory processes, work orders, job travelers, and WIP ID

Responsibilities

• Safely move raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods throughout the facility
• Load and unload deliveries using forklifts, pallet jacks, walkies, and other material handling equipment
• Stage materials for machine operators according to job travelers, production schedules, and work orders
• Band, wrap, label, and prepare materials for both internal and external customers
• Support production team with steady, timely material flow to avoid downtime
• Validate system accuracy of WIP ID and work closely with the foreman to ensure operators have work staged at their machines
