Forklift Operator - Concord, NC
About The Position
Weyerhaeuser is seeking a Forklift Operator for their Concord, NC location. The role focuses on safely delivering high-quality wood products to customers by unloading building materials, cycle counting, storing materials, breaking down units into custom orders, and loading outbound trucks. This is a direct hire position with benefits, offering a career opportunity rather than a temporary role. The position is on the evening shift and requires regular movement, including standing, sitting, walking, and moving up to 100 pounds, as well as operating heavy equipment outdoors in various weather conditions. The role involves safely moving product for customers, picking and pulling orders, and operating a forklift for loading and moving products.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience operating a forklift or heavy equipment operation where long length material has been handled
- A proven track record of successful performance at school and work
- Strong attention to detail, planning and organizational skills
- Ability to work within a team to solve customer problems and complete general tasks
- Willing to work outside, regularly moving, in the elements five days a week and occasional weekends
- Ability to continuously work while standing, sitting, and driving equipment throughout the day.
- Ability to work, while lifting towards 50lbs
- Ability to work while moving and sliding up to 100lbs
- Ability to operate a chainsaw
- Basic computer skills
- Be committed to customer service and safety

- Be committed to take personal safety and the safety of others very seriously
