About The Position

The Neil Jones Food Company is seeking Seasonal Forklift Drivers to operate a sit-down propane forklift safely and efficiently. This role involves transporting containers such as pallets, drums, and bins, and adhering to all safety and food safety policies. Responsibilities include documenting paperwork at the Northwest Packing plant in Vancouver, WA, during the fresh pack season, typically from July to November. The company is a leader in processing high-quality tomatoes and Pacific Northwest fruit, with a history of over 50 years serving various customers.

Requirements

1+ year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Forklift driver certified and able to pass a preliminary driving test, safety training, and daily evaluations for the first 30 days.
Able to communicate effectively with others.
Able to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and work extended schedule, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically July to early November.

Responsibilities

Always Promotes Food Safety Culture as a priority through conversations, communications and actions.
Must be able to stack product straight with a smooth and safe manner.
Take full pallets of brights to one of the warehouses that is indicated on the ta of each pallet.
Performs daily maintenance checks on assigned forklift following internal procedures.
May ensure proper tags and labels are on the palletized product; ability to read labels.
