About The Position
The Forklift Operator operates a forklift to stack and retrieve supplies and materials while following the company’s Good Manufacturing Practices. The role supports production and shipping operations by handling, tracking, and supplying materials, and requires compliance with plant safety standards and applicable regulations. Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current OSHA forklift driving certification.
Responsibilities
- Follow corporate and plant safety standards, applicable laws and regulations, and company Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Load trucks and secure product according to customer requirements.
- Load and unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
- Monitor material usage on the work floor and supply production lines with raw materials.
- Weigh materials or products and record results on tags, labels, or production schedules.
- Keep production lines supplied with raw materials.
- Inventory product as needed; label, sort, wrap, and tie product.
- Unload and stack material by raising and lowering the lifting device.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
