About The Position

The Forklift Operator plays a crucial role in various operations departments, including HPP/Bottling and Packaging/Packout. In HPP/Bottling, responsibilities include storing filled juice bins, ensuring continuous supply for the HPP process, and organizing bins to prevent mixing. In the bottling department, the operator transports materials using NetSuite, organizes pallets and materials, manages dunnage, loads trailers, and delivers empty bins. In Packaging/Packout, the operator moves completed pallets to the shrink wrap machine, documents pallet counts, organizes areas, returns unused materials, transfers supplies using NetSuite/RF Smart, and brings necessary supplies for pack-out/packaging.

Requirements

  • GED/Diploma
  • Forklift certified
  • 1-2 years of forklift operation experience
  • Proficiency with computers and handheld devices
  • Experience with RF Smart systems
  • Data entry experience in NetSuite
  • Ability to follow company policies, guidelines, and work instructions
  • Flexibility in performing various functions depending on the area of operation
  • Experience assisting supervision, management, leads, and operators as needed
  • Skilled in paperwork documentation
  • Experience as a machine operator
  • Active Forklift Certification is required
  • Excel Knowledge
  • Able to communicate and talk clearly/effectively
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently and safely
  • Ability to stand and walk for the entirety of the shift
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs with continuous motion
  • Ability to push/pull 100 lbs with continuous motion
  • Ability to navigate manufacturing equipment and facilities including repetitive bending, kneeling, reaching over head with both arms, stooping, squatting, and twisting
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs and work at heights when needed
  • Ability to regularly use hands to handle, grasp and control objects with good gripping strength and manual dexterity
  • Occasional exposure to moving machinery
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical exam

Responsibilities

  • Storing bins of juice after they are filled and discharged from the filler.
  • Ensuring the HPP process is continuously supplied with juice, keeping bin dumpers stocked and ready.
  • Organizing bins of juice to prevent any mixing.
  • Transporting materials using NetSuite via computer, phone, or handheld devices.
  • Organizing pallets and materials.
  • Managing dunnage and loading trailers.
  • Locating and delivering empty bins as needed.
  • Moving completed pallets onto the shrink wrap machine.
  • Accurately documenting pallet counts for both packaging and pack-out.
  • Organizing areas within Packaging/Packout.
  • Returning unused materials to their designated areas.
  • Transferring materials back through the NetSuite/RF Smart system.
  • Bringing supplies for pack-out/packaging as needed.
  • Systematically transferring supplies using NetSuite/RF Smart applications.
  • Entering transfers accurately and in real-time using NetSuite or RF Smart systems.
  • Effectively using electronic devices for tracking purposes.
  • Operating equipment safely, quickly, and efficiently.
  • Reporting any safety concerns or issues promptly.
  • Reporting any misuse of equipment by other operators.
  • Properly documenting and reporting any work-related accidents or incidents.
  • Ensuring conveyors do not become backed up while fillers are running.
  • Completing dunnage tasks daily and loading trailers with the correct dunnage.
  • Retrieving necessary materials and returning unused materials to their designated areas.
  • Supplying HPP operations with bins of juice for bin dumpers.
  • Organizing the HPP floor to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Preventing mixing different types or sizes of juices.
  • Providing empty bins as needed for B1 and B2 bottling processes.
  • Maintaining organization and cleanliness in Building 2.
  • Keeping all areas organized and ensuring pathways are clear.
  • Assisting with placing bins on bin dumpers and organizing rework materials.
  • Ensuring all pallets are properly wrapped and documented on pallet count sheets in real time.
  • Wrapping pallets securely to prevent shifting during transport without causing damage to the products.
  • Adhering to SOP, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP guidelines when in the plant.
  • Understanding and following verbal and written instructions related to safety, equipment operation, and daily work assignments.
  • Maintaining regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performing basic forklift maintenance, routine inspections, and precise loading/unloading of materials.
