About The Position

Akima Facilities Operations is seeking a Forklift Operator to Work in Fort Hood, TX. Come join this dynamic team and be part of this critical mission! This position is contingent upon contract award and funding. Applicants selected may be offered but cannot begin work until funding has been confirmed.

Requirements

Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
Ability to receive a favorable Tier-1 Investigation and obtain/maintain a CAC.
Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching.

Nice To Haves

Knowledgeable in U.S. Army logistics procedures.
4+ years of experience in material handling and forklift operations.
Valid Driver’s License.
High School Diploma / GED.
Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement

Responsibilities

Operates a manually controlled gasoline, electric or liquid propane gas powered forklift to transport goods and materials of all kinds within a warehouse, manufacturing plant, or other establishment.
May also perform operator level preventive maintenance checks and basic services to ensure continued operation of lift.
