About The Position

Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. is hiring a full-time Forklift Operator for the second shift. The position moves and controls a forklift to transport, unload, and stack materials, and supplies workers with materials as needed. The operator also inventories materials and keeps inventory records. Previous forklift experience is required. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and lumber experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate the forklift by using levers and pedals to drive and control the lifting apparatus.
• Position forks, lifting platforms, or other lifting devices around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transport loads to designated areas.
• Unload and stack materials by raising and lowering the lifting device.
• Inventory materials on the work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.
• Keep records of inventory.
