About The Position

The Forklift and Reach Truck Operator loads, unloads, transfers, and stacks products in the warehouse and trucks while meeting safety, quality, and on-time delivery objectives. The role also processes transfers through the warehouse management system and scanners. Work is performed under closely supervised, well-defined instructions and established procedures.

Requirements

Ability to process factory transfers, including basic loading and unloading.
Ability to task outbound full truck loads accurately and without damage, with minimal supervision.
Ability to safely operate a forklift, turret/reach truck, and order picker.
Must pass in-house forklift and reach truck training.
Ability to use warehouse management systems and scanning equipment.
Basic computer skills, including MS Office, Outlook, and data entry.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Good judgment, strong work ethics, and integrity on the job.
Effective organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to establish positive working relationships with employees and customers.
Ability to understand and follow company rules, policies, procedures, and requirements, especially those related to safety, quality, delivery, and productivity/cost.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
Ability to lift, carry, and/or move up to 40 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Industrial forklift experience in a large-scale, high-volume warehouse or distribution facility.
Experience with warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

Accurately process factory transfers.
Control damage and inventory.
Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and reach trucks to transfer, load, and unload products.
Use the PKMS warehouse management system through RF scanning.
Complete LTL and Will Calls.
Complete paperwork accurately and on time at the end of each shift.
Complete daily pre- and post-shift forklift and/or reach truck inspections and immediately report problems to the supervisor.
Demonstrate commitment to safety and quality standards, attend daily safety meetings, and follow safety procedures and policies.
Wear proper PPE and uniform during each shift.
Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization, including sweeping and keeping work areas clean.
Perform additional projects and duties to support ongoing business needs.
