About The Position

This role is responsible for various warehouse operations including preparing shipping documents, receiving goods, inventory control, and operating equipment. The position requires a strong initiative, the ability to work independently, and a developing knowledge of company products and logistics. The operator will also be responsible for data entry and maintaining inventory databases.

Requirements

Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job
Strong personal initiative- must be accountable, take ownership and work with minimum supervision
Ability to operate a forklift and other equipment used in moving materials
Working knowledge of loading logistics
Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written, with vendors and Company personnel
Willing to work 8 and 12 hour shifts Monday – Friday
Rotating Shift Schedule
Weekends are required
Manufacturing experience and forklift/clamp truck experience
Self-motivation is vital for this position
Strong communication skills are required for this position
Lifting requirement: 50 pounds or more

Responsibilities

Prepare documents i.e. bill of ladings, manifests and packing lists for outbound shipping releases when needed
Receiving as needed
Develop a working knowledge of Company products, goods, and materials
Unloading trucks, loading of shipments, and trailers
Warehouse inventory control
Operate a forklift and other equipment used in moving materials
Maintain the database for Finished Goods inventory including constructing pick sheets
Data entry into the Excel Load Statistics for warehouse associates
Complete Company forklift certification program and operate a forklift and clamp truck as necessary
Learn to use Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel as needed
Any duties assigned by Department Manager
