Forklift Operator (1st & 2nd shifts)
About The Position
Worthington Steel is hiring experienced Forklift Operators to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you'll safely transport large steel coils throughout our modern manufacturing facility, support production operations, and help ensure our steel processing lines run safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards. Requirements
- Previous forklift operating experience required
- Ability to perform physical, repetitive work, including getting on and off a forklift throughout the shift
- Basic math, computer, and communication skills
- Ability to read work instructions and communicate effectively in a manufacturing environment
- Commitment to following all safety and quality procedures
- Strong work ethic with a team-first attitude
Responsibilities
- Safely transport large steel coils throughout the facility using a forklift
- Stage material at production equipment to keep operations running efficiently
- Support production by removing scrap tubs and clearing finished product from processing lines
- Perform quality checks and accurately move finished product into inventory
- Assist with material handling and other daily production activities as needed
- Follow all safety procedures while operating forklifts and other heavy equipment
