Requirements

  • Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial environment preferred.
  • Ability to operate both electric and propane-powered forklifts.
  • Strong awareness of workplace safety practices and material handling procedures.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Basic communication skills and ability to work effectively with production team members.
  • Forklift certification preferred or willingness to become certified.
  • Reliability, attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to perform consistently in a physically active industrial environment.

  • English preferred; additional languages are welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the forklift to efficiently move pallets, containers, and materials throughout the plant facility.
  • Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
  • Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets and transports load to designated area.
  • Conduct inspection of the forklift prior to operating, promptly reporting issues to maintenance team for resolution.
  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks or containers with pallets or materials using the forklift, ensuring proper placement and securement of items.
  • Lift and carry up to 65lbs.
  • Push items with a maximum force of 34 lbs./feet.
  • Pull items with a maximum force of 34 lbs./feet.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery.
  • Maintain awareness of pedestrian and vehicle traffic in the work area.
  • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment daily.
  • Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately.
  • Safely loading automated roller systems with broken pallet stock for repair.
  • Removing finished product from automated production rollers and transporting it to designated storage or staging locations.
  • Maintaining consistent material flow to minimize production downtime.
  • Conducting pre-shift equipment inspections and reporting maintenance concerns.
  • Following all facility safety procedures and forklift operating standards.
  • Developing a thorough understanding of production workflows and material handling processes.
  • Contributing to a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
