Forklift Operator 1st shift
About The Position
Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and in accordance with company procedures. This role involves loading and unloading trucks, trailers, containers, and storage areas, as well as moving, stacking, staging, and organizing products and materials in designated locations. The operator will also be responsible for verifying product quantities, labels, lot numbers, and shipping or receiving documentation, inspecting loads for damage, and reporting discrepancies. A key part of the role includes completing pre-shift forklift inspections, maintaining accurate inventory movements using scanners or warehouse systems, and following established procedures for product handling, storage, shipping, and receiving. Maintaining a clean and orderly work area and adhering to all safety policies, including the use of PPE, are crucial. The position also requires immediate reporting of accidents, spills, unsafe conditions, and near misses, and assisting with general warehouse duties as needed. Other job-related duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials within established job requirements.
- Ability to enter and exit forklift equipment repeatedly.
- Ability to work in warehouse, plant, dock, or outdoor environments where temperatures and conditions may vary.
- Ability to wear required PPE.
Responsibilities

- Move, stack, stage, and organize products and materials in designated locations.
- Verify product quantities, labels, lot numbers, and shipping or receiving documentation as required.
- Inspect loads for damage and report discrepancies or damaged materials.
- Complete required pre-shift forklift inspections and report equipment defects promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory movements using scanners, warehouse systems, or required paperwork.
- Follow established procedures for product handling, storage, shipping, and receiving.
- Maintain clean and orderly work areas, aisles, docks, and equipment.
- Follow all safety policies, including requirements for personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Immediately report accidents, spills, unsafe conditions, and near misses.
- Assist with general warehouse, distribution, or material-handling duties as needed.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
