About The Position

Ring's End, Inc. is hiring a full-time Forklift Operator / Yard Helper in the Niantic, Connecticut area to support lumberyard operations. The role involves loading and unloading building materials, assisting customers, moving and organizing materials, and operating and maintaining equipment. The employee follows safety protocols and helps with other tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of lifting building materials and operating machinery.
• Flexible and adaptable to changes that affect the job.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials using lumberyard machines and equipment.
• Maintain machines and equipment.
• Assist customers with inquiries and discuss products and issues.
• Help customers find and identify materials and load them into vehicles.
• Read receipt tickets.
• Move materials throughout the lumberyard.
• Operate forklifts, saws, trucks, and other machinery.
• Keep building materials organized.
• Follow all safety protocols.
• Help wherever else needed.
