About The Position

Under the supervision of the Production Manager / Team Leader, the candidate will be required to perform tasks related to the disposal of the finished product at the appropriate locations in the warehouse. Mandatory travel to Drummondville Quebec for training, possibly 1 trip between date of hire and January of 2027. Employees will work/ train in Quebec for 2 weeks, and then return home for 2 weeks (off).

Requirements

  • High school degree
  • Driving a forklift (Asset);
  • Use of handheld scanners and tablets to scan part labels;
  • Training in handling hazardous materials (an asset);
  • GPAO software: AS/400 (an asset);
  • Basic computing skills;
  • Experience in a manufacturing plant (asset);
  • Health and Safety Standards.
  • Ability to consult and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Autonomy;
  • Organizational skills;
  • Analytical mindset and attention to detail;
  • Good flexibility and adaptability;
  • Proficiency with computer system;
  • Team spirit / Team Player;

Responsibilities

  • Unload finished product from the production line in a timely manner, without creating a bottleneck;
  • Classify, identify, arrange finished products in appropriate locations in the warehouse;
  • Operate the forklift in a safe and efficient manner;
  • Do pre-startup inspections on the forklift to ensure safe operation of the machine;
  • Properly dock the forklift at the end of the shift and connect the charging cables to the battery;
  • Learn how certain segments of the production line work;
  • Support the production line during production start-up and changeovers;
  • Carry out the weekly physical inventory of finished products and ensure their rotation;
  • Participate and provide necessary training to peers in order to perform the work as required;
  • Ensure that workplaces meet the company's standards of cleanliness and safety;
  • Suggest any measures aimed at improving production activities and occupational health/safety.
  • Support the receiving department in the reception of raw materials ranging from chemical totes, paper coils, etc;
  • Support the shipping department in loading trucks with finished products if necessary;
  • Support the unloader for rail cars by working as a backup operator to unload chemicals from trains / trucks into the tanks;
  • Work as a backup operator on the production line based on production priorities if necessary;
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the management.
