About The Position

Drives liquefied gas powered or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift and clamps to lift, stack, tier, rotate or move products, equipment, or materials.

Requirements

Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Promotes and adheres to company safety work rules and regulations.
Operates and understands the function of a forklift.
Moves tote bins to and from designated areas.
Replaces battery or fills propane tank on gas-powered hyster as needed.
Completes necessary paperwork.
Dumps waste tote bins into truck for removal from plant area.
Breaks down and stacks empty cardboard tote bins on pallets.
Sorts’ pallets and discards of the unusable ones.
Operates the cardboard compactor.
Removes garbage from designated areas.
Cleans assigned areas.
Unloads freight trucks and delivers items to other departments as needed.
Attends and participates in all annual, departmental, and job specific required training and monthly informational meetings.
Communicates problems or changes in department to supervisor or appropriate personnel.
Keeps work area clean and orderly in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
Understands and adheres to the concepts and techniques of the quality process in order to ensure a quality operation.
Helps build and promote a strong “Teamwork” environment in each individual work group, the Factory, and the Company.
Participates in continuous improvement process.
