About The Position

The Forklift Operator II works in a food manufacturing and warehouse environment on the second shift, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The position receives product requests from load sheets, picks pallets from storage racks, and places them in designated forward-pick locations for distribution and trailer loading. The operator follows facility Good Warehouse Practices and OSHA regulations, uses lift equipment safely, and reports equipment malfunctions to a supervisor. The role may also assist with periodic inventories. This is a full-time position with opportunities for advancement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• At least 2 years of related experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the required forklift certification and license.
• Satisfactory completion of cart-driver training.
• Ability to enter product and movement data into terminals daily.
• Ability to operate cleanup brooms, plastic compactors, forklifts, and carts.
• Ability to work in cold or freezing temperatures of 30 degrees.
• Ability to use a WMS and eventually understand and use the SAP ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Receive product requests from load sheets and pick pallets from storage racks for trailer loading.
• Place picked pallets in the properly designated forward-pick location for distribution.
• Operate equipment in accordance with facility Good Warehouse Practices and OSHA regulations.
• Operate lift equipment safely while minimizing damage to products, equipment, and storage racks.
• Report high-lift stacker or reach-truck malfunctions to a supervisor.
• Assist with periodic inventories as needed in the work area.
