About The Position

The Forklift Operator I performs picking and order fulfillment tasks in a warehouse using powered forklift equipment. The role involves completing safety and preventive maintenance checklists, using a truck-mounted radio frequency (RF) terminal and scanner to interact with the Warehouse Management System, and moving pallets and cases to designated locations. The operator is fully cross-trained and qualified to perform warehouse functions in specified areas, including moving cases between warehouse locations, loading promotional product for an outside contractor, and retrieving shipping cases from the sorter.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to operate lift equipment.

Responsibilities

Complete daily safety and preventive maintenance checklists for assigned forklift equipment.
Log on and off the Warehouse Management System using a truck-mounted RF terminal.
Pick up and move pallets of cases to locations directed by the RF terminal.
Move pallets to and from completed-pallet staging at sortation, pallet conveyor induction stations, VNA rack pick-up and delivery stations, the Case AS/RS induction platform, Shipping Prep, and the Service Promo/Repurpose Area.
Scan pallet and location bar codes with the truck-mounted scanner to confirm moves in the Warehouse Management System.
Perform order fulfillment work across warehouse functions in specified areas.
Move cases from VNA to Label Prep and Pasa-Flo.
Move cases from Repurpose to dock locations.
Load promotional product for an outside contractor.
Move palletized cases using a powered forklift.
Locate and retrieve shipping cases from the sorter.
Perform specified scans and administrative work for the Warehouse Management System and productivity tracking.
Scan all cases and pallet labels on completed pallets to assign cases to pallets in the Warehouse Management System.
Operate lift equipment.
