About The Position

The Forklift Operator will safely and efficiently operate sit-down forklift equipment to move, load, and unload shipments of various sizes in a fast-paced, team-oriented, safety-driven environment. The position supports accurate shipment preparation and inventory, equipment inspections and upkeep, and a clean and organized warehouse. The work is performed in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse environment. The employer notes that assigned personnel may occasionally perform duties outside their normal responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license.
Basic computer skills.
Flexibility to work 12-hour variable shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and work at heights or in small spaces.
Willingness to work in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

Pick and prepare material for shipment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to load counts.
Verify load accuracy, inspect for product damage, and report discrepancies as necessary.
Manually stack 55-pound bags according to customer instructions.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Follow work instructions, safety procedures, and workplace policies, including OSHA and SDS standards.
Conduct daily equipment inspections and promptly report issues.
Change LP tanks as needed and monitor equipment power sources.
Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and participate in physical inventory counts.
Promptly communicate concerns or issues to warehouse leads or management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
