About The Position

The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe, accurate movement of products within the distribution center. This role requires previous forklift driving experience and experience in a manufacturing work environment is preferred. The job can require lifting and/or moving over 50 lbs. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. A 10-panel drug screening is required.

Requirements

• Previous Forklift driving experience required.
• 1 year of relevant experience, required in lieu of High School Diploma or GED.
• Intermediate experience with either a high reach or counterbalance required.
• Ability to obtain a forklift certification within 2 days of employment.
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents in English.
• Ability to operate MHE and use an RF scanner.
• Basic analytical, organizational and prioritization skills.
• General distribution knowledge.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong initiative and drive for results.
• Normal field of vision corrected to 20/40 in each eye and hearing sufficient to safely operate MHE.

Nice To Haves

• Background in warehouse/distribution.
• Experience with material handling equipment.
• Previous work experience in a manufacturing work environment.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience with Manhattan WMS.

Responsibilities

• Transport palletized product within the distribution center (unload, put away double deep, bulk and full pallet pick, load, replenishment)
• Operate material handling equipment, including high reach, counterbalance, electric pallet jack, and dock stocker.
• Use RF Scanner and WMS to ensure inventory accuracy and track products throughout the site.
• Ensure product integrity while performing all tasks.
• Follow site safety procedures, including required PPE (safety vest, safety shoes).
• Cross train and become knowledgeable in other areas. Provide backup support when required.
