About The Position

The Forklift Operator operates an assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner in addition to following company and warehouse GMP’s. This role is responsible for maintaining defensive driving, ensuring the trailer is clean and free of contaminants and pests, and providing a communication link between customers and staff. The operator will follow company food safety and security procedures for transporting raw and finished good products and assist warehouse personnel with the loading and unloading of products. They will read and interpret maps, driving directions, and road signs to plan the most efficient route service for customers. The operator will also keep the assigned vehicle(s) clean inside and outside, maintain accurate records, and assist in cycle counts and inventory.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 1 to 2 years of experience
• Work in Freezer Environment
• Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
• Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Responsibilities

• Maintains defensive driving
• Maintains trailer clean and free of contaminants and pest
• Provides a communication link between customers and staff
• Follow company food safety and security procedures for transporting raw and finished good products
• Assists warehouse personnel with the loading and unloading of products and operates forklifts as needed
• Reads and interprets maps and driving directions to plan the most efficient route service for customers and reads and interprets road signs in English
• Keeps the assigned vehicle(s) clean inside and outside
• Maintains accurate, up-to-date records on trip sheets, customer transportation forms, vehicle maintenance, fuel purchases, incident reports, accident reports, vehicle condition reports and other records that are requested from management
• Assists in cycle counts and inventory
