About The Position

Warren Oil has an immediate need for a Forklift/CDL Yard Driver for our San Antonio, Texas manufacturing facility! The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and be required to perform Order Selector duties. This is a full-time opportunity with competitive pay and benefits.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or (GED)
  • 1 Year of forklift experience in an industrial environment
  • Basic math skills required
  • Must be able to past Site-Specific forklift performance evaluation and academic training course.
  • Must be able to back up trailers up to dock door, often with other trailers on either side of the dock.
  • Must be able to back up bulk tanker trailers to loading/unloading bays/areas.
  • Must know how to safely secure trailers/bulk tankers with wheel chock and airline locks.
  • Must have (1) year of experience.
  • Current/active CDL.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with RF Smart System is preferred
  • Forklift certification a plus
  • DOT general knowledge regarding the safe operation of semi-trucks and trailers/bulk tankers a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Load inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.
  • Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances.
  • Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
  • Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.
  • Weigh products and records weights on individual pallets.
  • Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers.
  • Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment.
  • Maintain the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
  • Conduct preoperational checklist/inspection and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment on a daily basis.
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
  • Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained.
  • Assist in physical inventories.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Safely operate semi-truck with a trailer/bulk tanker in and out of shipping docks, tanker staging areas and throughout the facility.
