As a Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Technician, you will repair and maintain electric and propane industrial lift trucks, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and/or cherry pickers. You will follow manuals and use hand tools, power tools, and knowledge of electrical, power transmission, brake, and other mechanical systems. This role involves managing the repair of MHE, including monitoring, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance. You will conduct preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter changes, calibration, belt changes, inspections, adjustments, and lubrication. A key responsibility is logging time and materials into a computerized maintenance management system. The role also requires interpreting plans, specifications, schematics, and manuals. Additionally, you will assist battery technicians with charger repairs, battery changes, plug and tip repairs, watering and washing batteries, and acid spill cleanup. You will also support building and refrigeration maintenance teams with general building repairs, electrical troubleshooting, and refrigeration system maintenance.
