About The Position

The Inventory Material Shipping & Receiving role supports aerospace manufacturing and operations by managing the flow, storage, and accuracy of production materials. The role receives, inspects, tracks, and issues materials according to company procedures, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and aerospace and customer specifications. It works closely with manufacturing, quality, engineering, supply chain, and logistics teams to help ensure materials are available, traceable, and compliant.

This is an onsite, long-term contract position in Sterling, Virginia.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in warehouse, logistics, or inventory operations.
• Experience in material shipping and receiving.
• Currently possess or be able to quickly obtain a valid forklift certification.
• Proven ability to safely operate a reach truck.
• Experience working in a stockroom environment and performing cycle counts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel.
• High school diploma or equivalent (such as a GED), or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily shipping, receiving, and inventory management tasks.
• Unbox incoming materials and box and pack outgoing shipments.
• Perform warehouse put-aways using specialized equipment.
• Safely operate a forklift and reach truck to move, stack, and organize materials.
• Record inventory and customer transactions accurately in the SAP database and perform routine data entry.
• Coordinate with logistics, quality, and manufacturing staff to support operational efficiency.
• Lift, carry, and move warehouse materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
