About The Position

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and have the ability to drive propane forklift. This role involves maintaining yarn beam in-house inventory, knit machine beam inventory, receiving beam inventory at the dock from outside vendors, and maintaining empty beam and rack storage areas. The operator will also load empty beams and racks onto outgoing scheduled trailers, pull knit rolls from in-house inventory for outgoing trailers, and receive and unload miscellaneous items as needed. Responsibilities include using a scan gun to monitor inventory, performing daily forklift checklists, and maintaining a clean work area while observing all safety rules and procedures. This position may require performing other related duties as required or directed.

Legally authorized to work in the US
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to operate motorized equipment
Lift 25lbs
Push 250lbs roll of fabric on cart
Pull 50lbs
Work (3) 12 hour shifts with extensive standing and walking.
Excellent hand/eye coordination
Strong problem-solving skills
Adaptability – adapts to changes in the work environment
Attention to detail – thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task ensuring all aspects are reviewed
Ability to identify and classify defects
Willing to work overtime
Ability to communicate effectively.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or equivalent
Manufacturing experience
Textile knitting experience

Responsibilities

Maintain yarn beam in house inventory, knit machine beam inventory.
Receive beam inventory at dock from outside vendor.
Maintain empty beam and rack storage area.
Load empty beam and racks onto outgoing scheduled trailer.
Pull knit rolls from in house inventory to load onto designated out going trailer.
Responsible for receiving and unloading miscellaneous items as needed.
Use scan gun to monitor beam and knit roll inventory.
Perform daily forklift check list to verify proper lift running conditions.
Maintains a clean work area and observes all safety rules and procedures.
Performs other related duties as required or directed.
