About The Position

This position is responsible for leading and training Forklift Operator’s to perform all tasks involved in the movement of products. This position involves driving a powered industrial truck equipped with forklift, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials within the facility.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Ability to pass certification to operate a forklift
Stand-up forklift experience required
Safety sensitive position – ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business
Ability to effectively work in teams, and to lead, train, and direct a team
Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
Ability to interpret written and verbal instructions
Ability to consistently produce at a high level
Ability to work with plant management for required results
Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the job
Ability to move and handle merchandise throughout the facility generally weighing up to 25 pounds
Walking, standing, lifting, and bending for the duration of the shift

Previous warehouse production experience preferred

Responsibilities

Train and lead forklift operators to transport finished jobs or goods into correct areas
Move pallets of goods for jobs in process to appropriate area as needed
Place finished goods which are on a designated pallet to the correct location
Perform all functions accurately as required in WMS system
Reduce errors and safety incidents, assigns forklift operators to specific jobs/feeding lines
Accurately complete forklift operator’s checklist
Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
Confer with managers to ensure coordination of other production lines
Conduct a physical inventory of all corrugated materials by performing daily cycle counts
Perform inventory audits on a daily basis or as needed
Professional in attitude and performance and leadership of staff
Maintain a clean and safe work area by moving empty pallets to a designated area
Verify processes are being followed
Perform all line clearances and verify for accuracy
Assign forklift drivers for set ups and daily job tasks
Assist supervisors on the production floor/warehouse to maintain a safe work environment
Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
Demonstrates commitment to quality and performs job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines
Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisors/Managers
