About The Position

This is a full-time Forklift I position in a food manufacturing environment, with opportunities for advancement. The role supports warehouse operations by safely handling and moving palletized products, staging pallets for trailer loading and distribution, and maintaining accurate product flow and organized storage areas. Starting pay is $19.75 per hour, with an additional $1.50 shift differential for shifts worked from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. The listed shift is 1st shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age.
• 0 to 1 year of related experience.
• Ability to operate clean-up brooms, plastic compactors, forklifts, and carts.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required forklift certification or license, and/or satisfactorily complete cart driver training.
• Ability to enter product and movement data into terminals daily.
• Ability to work in cold or freezing temperatures of 30 degrees.
• Ability to understand and use a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and eventually understand and use SAP (Systems Applications Products in Data Processing).

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and lift equipment to receive, store, and transport palletized products in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Pick and stage pallets from storage racks to designated Forward Pick (FWP) areas to support timely trailer loading and distribution.
• Ensure material movements are completed accurately and within established timeframes to maintain product flow.
• Perform regular equipment checks and promptly report malfunctions or safety issues to supervisors.
• Assist with periodic inventory counts and maintain organized storage areas according to Good Warehouse Practices (GWP).
