About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to support efficient warehouse operations by managing the movement of materials and products. The role requires knowledge of warehouse processes and safety protocols, along with the ability to operate material-handling equipment. The position offers several shift options: Monday–Friday, 6 p.m.–2:30 a.m. at $18.10 per hour; Tuesday–Friday, 6 p.m.–6 a.m. at $18.10 per hour; or a split shift on Friday and Saturday, 6 a.m.–6 p.m., and Sunday and Monday, 6 p.m.–6 a.m., at $18.30 per hour. The posting also lists starting pay of $17.75 per hour plus shift premiums and weekly pay. This is a full-time contract-to-hire role in Louisville, Kentucky.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role is preferred.
Ability to operate material-handling equipment safely, including clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes.
Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to OSHA regulations.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with warehouse management systems and RF scanning technology.

Responsibilities

Load and unload materials from trucks and containers using equipment such as pallet jacks, hi-los, and forklifts.
Track inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and RF scanners.
Organize and store materials in designated areas to optimize space and accessibility.
Assist with shipping and receiving, ensuring products are accounted for and documented.
Inspect equipment regularly to ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards.
Collaborate with team members to build shipment pallets in accordance with quality standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
