2nd Shift Forklift/Forktruck Operator
About The Position
Engineered Steel Products (ESP), a North Carolina-based steel fabrication company serving the construction industry, is seeking a talented and reliable Forklift/Forktruck Operator. The role supports safe and efficient workflow in the assigned work area and involves operating equipment according to established procedures, maintaining a clean and orderly work area and equipment, and working in all weather conditions. The position begins on first shift for training, from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday, with frequent Saturday shifts. It is planned to transition to second shift, from 3:30 PM to 1:00 AM Monday through Friday, also with frequent Saturday shifts. The operator will work closely with the Plant Manager and Shipping Supervisor. ESP is an equal opportunity employer.
Requirements
- Experience operating a 15,500–19,000 lb capacity forklift in rough-terrain and outdoor conditions.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a structural steel fabrication environment or lumberyard.
Responsibilities
- Take an active role in the team's safe work performance and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Work closely with the Plant Manager and Shipping Supervisor in the assigned work area to support optimum workflow.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
- Operate equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Work in all weather conditions.
