About The Position

This role will train on 1st shift and either stay on 1st shift or move to 2nd shift. This position is expected to assist in the continual improvement and strengthening of the Master Finish Company plating processes by carrying out all the functions of shipping under the direction of the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Close-toed shoes are required when working in and around production areas.
  • Follow general safety guidelines and procedures when working with and around machinery
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Safety & Health Act and the regulations.
  • Report to his or her employer or supervisor the absence of or defect in any equipment or protective of which the worker is aware and which may endanger himself, herself or another worker.
  • To ensure that no unauthorized people enter the company facilities. Verify that all doors are locked and lights, equipment, etc. are turned off when required.
  • Ensure that the building is a clean and safe workplace at all times.
  • Do not remove or make ineffective any protective device required by the regulations or by his or her employer, without providing an adequate temporary protective device and when the need for removing or making ineffective the protective device has ceased, the protective device shall be replaced immediately.
  • Do not use or operate any equipment, machine, device or thing or work in a manner that may endanger himself, herself or any other worker.
  • Do not engage in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and implement the ISO 14001 EMS and 9001 QMS policies as they pertain to the position, and perform internal audits of those policies and procedures
  • Unload and audit incoming goods
  • Route incoming goods to proper areas
  • Maintain inventory information
  • Audit, prepare, and load finished goods for shipment
  • Fulfill all other duties requested by supervisor
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Safety & Health Act and the regulations.
