About The Position

Under direct supervision, the Forklift Operator is responsible for successfully moving materials throughout the facility by operating a forklift. This includes unloading raw materials and moving finished products to designated areas. The role also involves performing other duties as assigned by the production supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Forklift certification (training provided).
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, as well as to collaborate in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Dependable.
• Ability to be at work on time and as scheduled.
• Ability and willingness to learn.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Must often lift and/or move product up to 75 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Spanish to interact with a diverse workforce preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely.
• Load and unload products from trailers using forklift trucks and other material handling equipment.
• Store products in proper places in the manufacturing facility.
• Deliver products to various units safely and in a timely manner.
• Sort, pack, wrap, tie, and label products as per company procedures.
• Utilize the company tracking system to ensure accuracy of all product movement.
• Prepare and complete paperwork associated with manufacturing.
• Follow company standards and legal regulations to ensure a safe and positive work atmosphere.
• May perform other duties as assigned including general housekeeping.
