About The Position

The Forklift Driver operates a forklift/pull pak in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all safety rules, policies, and protocols. This role is responsible for maintaining housekeeping standards, ensuring operations promote safety, and keeping the work-in-process area neat and orderly. Key duties include pulling orders, stocking materials, maintaining equipment, managing department waste, and complying with all safety and quality policies. The position also involves other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Ability to read and understand loading instructions.
Ability to problem solve with minimal assistance.
Ability to provide daily feedback to supervisor regarding all aspects of shift activity.
Ability to communicate effectively with other employees, supervisors, managers, etc.
Basic computer skills (data entry, etc).
Ability to perform basic arithmetic including additions, subtractions, multiplications and division.
Ability to understand and accurately utilize KIWI.
Ability to learn and understand machine line up.

Responsibilities

Operates Forklift/Pull Pak in a safe and efficient manner following all safety rules, policies, and protocols.
Maintains housekeeping standards at all times.
Conducts operations in a manner that promotes safety.
Maintains work in process area in a neat and orderly fashion.
Pulls orders and stocks to work in process area.
Keeps appropriate records and reports (completes forms, logs, inventory and records accurately – as required).
Maintains forklift/pull pack on a daily basis.
Maintains baler.
Responsible for managing the waste of the department.
Complies with all Safety rules and Quality policies and protocols at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned by managers and/or supervisor/shift leader.
Loads, unloads, moves, stacks and stages product and materials using a forklift, pull packs or other power equipment.
Maintains the facilities’ equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
Inspects and performs minor maintenance on the forklift on a daily basis.
Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following indicated work methods.
Keeps appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained.
Assists in physical inventories.
