About The Position

Join our team as an experienced Forklift Operator managing production. In this role, the Forklift Operator safely operates forklifts and material-handling equipment while supporting daily production needs. Responsibilities would include performing inventory tasks, loading and receiving materials, moving products in and out of racking, completing Hazmat-compliant documentation, and using the plant’s warehouse management system/RFID. The operator also performs packing and quality checks, hand-stacks pallets as needed, maintains a clean and safe work area, and follows all GMPs, SOPs, safety standards and plant policies, along with any other duties assigned. This role is based on site at our Mars, PA facility with the hours of Sunday-Thursday 11:30pm-7:40am plus overtime as needed. The pay rate for this position is $21.63 per hour + a $2 shift differential for working 3rd shift.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Able to visually concentrate, remain alert, and listen intensely for extended periods of time
Able to stand, sit, lift, bend, crouch, reach and climb consistently for twelve hours
Able to grasp and manipulate a variety of packaging components (i.e. sprayers, bottles, caps)
Must be able to work in accordance with Health and Safety and GMP regulations
Must be able to lift 45lbs. from floor occasionally
Must be able to safely operate the forklift around co-workers, other forklifts, and mechanical and electrical equipment for up to 12 hours
Working in non-temperature-controlled environment, including high temperatures and humidity for extended periods of time
Must be able to work overtime where necessary

Nice To Haves

2 + years of forklift experience is highly preferred

Responsibilities

Safely Operate Forklift and material handling equipment.
Perform inventory functions including but not exclusive to: Cycle counts, physical inventory, product checks.
Load and receive materials from trailers.
Load, store, move materials in and out of racking
Perform loading documentation process in accordance with Hazmat rules
Operate and use plant’s warehouse management system/RFID
Perform packing/quality checks and documentation as required
Hand stack palletized product as necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the facility
Be responsible for the final quality of every unit that is placed into a customer’s shipper. If unsure of the quality standard required, there is a responsibility to check with the Team Leader before packing questionable product.
Be responsible for safety and housekeeping in the immediate work area. Help to clean and report any unsafe conditions to your Team Leader or Supervisor.
Participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Standards, and follow all plant policies and procedures.
Possibility of working around high noise levels, depending on location.
Constant interaction with a variety of chemicals and chemical products.
Other related duties as assigned.
