About The Position

We're looking to add a Forklift Operator to our 2nd shift team at Quanex in Greenville, PA. The primary function of the Forklift Operator is to keep the material stocked for production lines and move the material to designated locations. This is a 4-day work week with a 2nd shift schedule: Monday-Thursday - 6:30pm-5:00am, with overtime as required. It's a small facility with the resources and support of a large organization, fostering a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience operating a forklift preferred.
At least 6 months experience working in a production, manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Ability to perform repetitive work requiring high levels of concentration.
Ability to lift 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Operating Forklift and or pallet jacks, to transport materials to and from trucks, work areas, machines and loading docks in a safe and efficient manner to meet production requirements.
Enter all information into applicable systems (paperwork, computer, and scanner).
Meet production standards.
Follow written/verbal instructions.
Read and understand job orders.
Produce and use material identification labels.
Stack material properly.
Comply with all SOX/ISO requirements and general plant policies and procedures.
Communicate with production operators, supervisors and other Material handlers.
Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
